Tips For Great Baby Showers

Pregnancy can be a very happy time in a couple’s life. There are plans to make to add a new person into the family. When a pregnancy is planned and wanted the nine months is a time of preparation. I am fortunate that my niece’s pregnancy has been waited for with longing and the reports are that the baby is healthy. My niece is also my god child. We have been very close through the years. I told her that I wanted to plan a baby shower for her. I gave her the choice of having the shower prior to the baby or after the baby was delivered so that the baby could be part of the shower. She was concerned that she would be nervous handling the baby in front of a group of family members so she asked to have the shower prior to the birth. She also requested that I would not have any baby shower games. She said she thought they were stupid and she did not like to participate in them. I agree with her that baby shower games are stupid, but they are also a tradition. When you talk to most women they agree that baby shower games are not something that they enjoy playing. I wanted to come up with some type of exercise that we could do...

Tips On Baby Feeding

All parents start off with good intentions, but some think they know everything, and don’t want to listen to the advice of their doctors. I know this first hand. My sister had her baby about the same time that my little girl was born, and we had vastly different ways of feeding the babies. I couldn’t breast feed, so my daughter was on formula. My sister choose not to do so, so her baby was also on formula. Our methods of baby feeding were vastly different from each other even though we had the same pediatrician. I guess I took the pediatrician’s advice about baby feeding much more seriously than my sister did. I was told that bottle should not go in the microwave because they heat unevenly. When that happens, there can be parts of the bottle that can be too hot and the babies mouth might be burned when feeding. I listened to this advice and she did not. I guess everything turned out okay, but I wasn’t about to take the chance. She informed me that she didn’t have the time to heat them otherwise. I thought she should make time, but I guess it was none of my business. Another thing about baby feeding that I took very seriously was how long they should remain on a strictly breast milk or...

Windshield Wiper Blades - Only The Best

They may not cost very much but if you don’t have windshield wiper blades on your car, you shouldn’t be driving it. It’s hard to imagine that something so inexpensive could render your car un-drivable, but if you don’t have good blades when the rain starts to fall, you aren’t going to be able to see or drive safely. They are also essential if you get something on your windshield that obstructs your view. You don’t really think about how important windshield wiper blades are until you don’t have any or they fail on you. I remember riding in my friend’s car in college when a heavy rainstorm came out of nowhere. Her blades had fallen apart and she had not replaced them. She forgot they were missing and she turned on her wipers. Without the windshield wiper blades in place, the metal part scrapped across the window worthlessly. She literally drove with her head out of her side window so we could keep moving, though I would never advise someone to do that. Most windshield wiper blades are very inexpensive. You can get all sorts, but you have to make sure the ones you get fit your wipers. Some say that they can be put on your car right away while others might need a treatment. I’m not sure what the package usually says...

Conerned About Vehical Gas Mileage ?

As much as we hate to think about it, it's always a relevant issue. Unless you live in a metropolitan area such as Manhattan, you probably require a vehicle on a daily basis. Hey, it's nothing to be ashamed of. I'm certainly not going to jump all over your case like some environmental nut, screaming about pollution. Our world has been designed to where we typically need cars, trucks, and SUVs to get from point A to point B. The true concern here is vehicle gas mileage. Can you afford to drive back and fourth to work on a daily basis? If the answer is no, you may want to consider a different vehicle. Vehicle gas mileage has become a major pitch for car companies. I'd assume the manufacturers must despise the gas companies. The cost of gas is actually hurting their business. While Americans become more conscious about what they have to fork out on gasoline every month, the SUV sales are plummeting. We simply can't afford to drive vehicles that only get 16 miles to the gallon. Then you spend 60 bucks filling the tank of and H2 or Suburban. It's just not worth it. We want vehicles that get 65 miles to the gallon if it's an option. Especially if we mostly use them to commute back and fourth to work. And...

Travel Easier with a Car Seat Organizer

A car seat organizer is a must-have for anyone who is on the go. Many busy individuals feel as if they live in their vehicles. With all of the items that need to be taken along with you on the road, there has to be some way to keep everything straight. A car seat organizer can help you access the necessary gear in little time. Basically, there are two fundamental designs in the car seat organizer. You can choose a unit that attaches to the back of your seat or you can choose one that sits in the front with you. There are some things to consider before choosing which design is right for you. You may be surprised by which car seat organizer suits your needs. I originally thought that I would want a version that attaches to the back of the seat. This was a no-brainer as far as I was concerned. The car seat organizer that hangs on the back would take up less space. It also is ideal (so I thought) because I have to put my kids in the back of the vehicle. Putting items into the back car seat organizer seemed like a great idea until I put the product to the test. Since my kids are at an age where curiosity is king, they tend to try and...
