The Woes of the Michigan Republican Party
While the Michigan Democratic Party has been facing problems stemming from it's early primary and seating at the Convention, the Michigan Republican Party is in it's own dire straits, from the top level down. At the State Party level, the Detroit News reports that the party is $250,000 in debt early in the election cycle. This could mean less spending, at a time when Michigan could be a critical swing state and with two Republican Congressmen facing tough reelections.
